H1N1 discovered in Singapore.
Patient 0. What a label. My friends and I were having dinner last night when someone brought up the topic of Patient 0. Yes. Our tiny island has our first H1N1 patient and those who were on the same flight from certain rows to certain rows were asked to be quarantined. But my friends and I were thinking. If the patient was on flight, won’t the air be circulating around the whole flight and shouldn’t all passengers from the same flight be quarantined rather than those few rows? Oh well. We leave that to the medically certified people to do the job. Perhaps it is not as deadly as SARS or perhaps Singaporeans have indeed grown “dirtier” to be immune to viruses. My friend mentioned that with the various flu viruses around, who knows two virues might mutate and be a deadly H2N2!! Haha. And before that day come, I hope I will be immune to all viruses. So the only way to keep safe now my friends, drink more water, sleep early and take more Vitamin C to beat the viruses! =)
Randomness
On a side note, I have finally booked my Bangkok trip in September with Claudia. Finally. Airtix was relatively cheap at only $5!!! But including airport taxes and all other yadayada stuff, each of us paid only $135 each (inclusive of insurance as well). A good deal I would say. So now I am just counting and looking forward to this trip. Has been how many years since just Claudia and myself been on a trip. Remember our first trip just two girls to Bangkok was donkey years ago. And yes this year as we hit our quarter century mark, we will be taking on our trip to Bangkok once again. And before that, Taiwan awaits me in 2 weeks time and when I am back from Taiwan, Bintan Madness with my buddies in July. Looks like it is a non stop trail of activities in the coming months. Who knows I would find something or somewhere to go in August =) Care to join me? Haha. Wheeee!!!!
So I tell you, I am excited. *glee*
