The legendary 30 is the new 20. And yes I am done celebrating my last twenties. This year is yet another year of pampering by my loved ones. July has always been a month where mood has always been lighter and happier cos I know I always have a reason to celebrate.
As we grow older, birthdays are celebrated in a much cosier setting which I like. I appreciate the thought that friends of our age who are often so busy to meet up make time just to come have birthday dinner together. And I believe those people I celebrate my birthday with today will also be the friends whom I will be growing old with. And I look forward to that.
My family never fails to make sure our birthdays are days of feasting. Either by our in house Chef, Mrs Lee or to have good affordable dinner outside. I love our tradition of having a cake to cut on our birthday and making a lot of wishes and wishing they all come true. And the birthday wish stays the same every year ever since I became older and wiser. That is that the family staus happy and healthy. Mum's birthday also falls in July so it's all the more a reason to celebrate. So this year for a change we brought mum out to the aquarium and a surprise birthday cake at tje restaurant. I know she loved it cos she was really surprised and touched. And this I hope can be the new tradition - to bring them out on their birthday. Sometimes I really wish they know how much I really love and appreciate them.
And as always, there is a part 2 to my birthday besides all the birthday dinners. This year is the 2nd year we are celebrating together and it's nothing less than wonderful. And I think that deserves a seperate post on its own. So for now, let me reminisce the birthday month with pictures instead.
